The aim of the works is the implementation of the civil engineering works, the electromechanical part, relative management and consequent dismantling of the treatment plant for the waters deriving from the execution of the Ceneri base tunnel, in observance of the conditions for immission into the natural receiver or into piping. The treatment involves: the separation of oils and hydrocarbons, flocculation and sedimentation, neutralization and disposal of mud, treatment of nitrites and AOXs, the accumulation of water in tunnels in the event of accidents or peak flows, cooling of the water for immission into natural receivers.
